Experience & Impact

I work at the intersection of policy, fundraising, and complex stakeholder environments, helping ideas move from narrative to funded execution across public, nonprofit, and emerging-technology contexts.

AI-Enabled Strategy & Capacity Building

Design and deploy custom, repurposable AI tools that support advocacy, fundraising, research, communications, and internal operations, with attention to governance, usability, and constraints.

Guide organizations through AI strategy and implementation, workflow optimization, the use of AI agents to automate repetitive tasks, support ongoing decision-making, and meaningfully reduce staff time.

Impact:

  • Regularly showcase 4 repurposable AI tools that I built for fundraising to clients, along with an external-facing advocacy tool that helps educators identify legislators and receive tailored insights for coordinated outreach.

  • Lead strategy sessions and develop AI-enabled systems and agents that allow nonprofit teams to save 4–5 hours per proposal and streamline recurring tasks such as prospect research, drafting, analysis, and follow-up.

Advocacy & Policy Strategy

Translate complex research, program models, and technical concepts into clear, decision-ready narratives for policymakers, agencies, and institutional leaders.

Design and lead advocacy strategies that align diverse stakeholders around shared policy goals and withstand political, regulatory, and public scrutiny.

Impact:

  • Led strategy for four statewide legislative efforts, including SB 341 (Pérez, 2025), one of 41 bipartisan bills out of 2,200+ introduced in California that year, securing five bipartisan authors and unanimous support.

  • Developed briefs, amendments, district analyses, and case-making materials used by legislative offices, committees, and state agencies.

Fundraising

Develop compelling funding narratives that translate technical, research-heavy, or policy-driven work into clear value propositions for funders and institutional partners.

Design and deploy tools and workflows for prospect identification, funder research, and outreach coordination, supporting relationship-driven fundraising.

Impact:

  • Contributed to $550K+ raised through grant identification, narrative development, and proposal coordination, including support for research- and policy-aligned funding for an advocacy campaign.

  • Supported multi-million-dollar funding efforts across public and philanthropic contexts, including proposals with external-facing AI components and campaigns that resulted in new public funding streams and institutional investment.

Coalition Building, Stakeholder Management & Campaign Execution

Build and manage cross-sector coalitions spanning government, academia, nonprofits, and industry, structuring large stakeholder environments into coordinated action.

Lead end-to-end campaign execution, integrating messaging, timelines, convenings, and partner coordination across fast-moving, high-visibility initiatives.

Impact:

  • Expanded a statewide coalition to 135+ organizations and 600+ advocates, coordinating engagement across 5 agencies, 30+ legislative offices, and 4 committees through work with the California School Garden Coalition.

  • Planned and executed multiple statewide convenings for initiatives such as the California Campaign for Outdoor Learning and UC–CSU Environmental & Climate Change Literacy Projects, involving 120–600+ policymakers, researchers, and educators.
